Here’s a hypnotherapy script designed specifically for men to reduce violence, aggression, and risky behavior while promoting calm, self-control, and positive influence in their communities. This focuses on emotional regulation, awareness, and conscious choice.

Hypnotherapy Script: Reduce Violence and Risky Behaviour as a Man in Your Community

Session Goal:
Develop emotional control, awareness of consequences, empathy, and proactive decision-making to reduce aggression, conflict, and risky behavior.

1. Induction – Relaxation and Grounding (5–7 minutes)

(Spoken slowly, calm, steady, and reassuring tone)

“Make yourself comfortable… sit or lie down… hands resting naturally… close your eyes if it feels safe… and take a deep, slow breath in… hold gently… and exhale fully, releasing tension, stress, and worry…

Again, inhale slowly… hold for a moment… and exhale, letting go of anger, agitation, or fear…

With every breath, feel a wave of calm spreading through your body… from the top of your head… down your neck… shoulders… chest… arms… torso… legs… and feet… grounding you, centering you… preparing your mind and heart to choose calm, clarity, and self-control.”

2. Safe Place Visualization (3–5 minutes)

“Now, imagine a place where you feel completely safe, calm, and in control… a place where nothing can provoke you… where you can reflect on your actions and choices…

Notice the details… the colors, sounds, sensations, and atmosphere…

This is your inner sanctuary… a place you can return to anytime you feel tension, anger, or impulsive thoughts…

With each breath, let yourself sink deeper into this calm, safe, and grounded space… feeling more in control of your mind and actions.”

3. Connecting with Emotional Awareness (5 minutes)

“Now, bring your attention to your heart… the center of awareness and self-control…

Imagine feeling the sensations of any anger, frustration, or impulsive energy in your body… without judgment… simply noticing…

See that energy as a wave you can observe, rather than something that controls you…

Know that you can respond rather than react… choose peace rather than conflict… strength through self-control rather than force…

Feel calmness spreading through your body, dissolving tension… filling you with clarity, patience, and measured strength.”

4. Releasing Violence and Risky Behaviour Patterns (5 minutes)

“Now, notice old patterns, habits, or impulses that have led to conflict, aggression, or risky choices…

See them as heavy weights you’ve been carrying… unnecessary and outdated…

Gently release them… imagine them dissolving or falling away… leaving space for calm, clarity, and wise decision-making…

With every breath, you feel lighter… freer… more capable of acting with integrity and self-control… knowing that true strength comes from restraint, awareness, and empathy.”

5. Integrating Positive Community Leadership (5 minutes)

“Now, imagine yourself in your community… in situations that once caused tension or conflict…

See yourself calm, confident, and aware… responding with words, not violence… using wisdom, not aggression… making choices that protect yourself and others…

Notice how others respond to your calm authority… feel the respect, trust, and safety you bring…

Know that each time you choose calm and responsibility, you reduce harm… set an example… and inspire others to follow your lead.”

6. Positive Affirmations for Self-Control and Community Safety (3–5 minutes)

“Silently or aloud, repeat these affirmations, letting them sink into your subconscious mind:

  • I am calm, aware, and in control of my actions.

  • I release anger and impulsive behavior, choosing patience and wisdom.

  • I respond with understanding and clarity, not aggression.

  • I am a positive influence and role model in my community.

  • I act responsibly, reducing harm and risk for myself and others.

  • Each day, I grow stronger in self-control, awareness, and leadership.”

(Pause after each affirmation to allow it to resonate.)

7. Future Pacing / Visualization (3–5 minutes)

“Now, imagine yourself moving through life with this calm, controlled presence…

See yourself defusing conflict before it starts… making wise choices even under pressure… protecting yourself and others… building trust and respect in your community…

Feel the pride, satisfaction, and empowerment that comes from being a man who leads through self-control, awareness, and positive action… knowing your choices create safety, respect, and positive influence.”

8. Reorientation / Awakening (2–3 minutes)

“Slowly bring your awareness back to the present… notice the support beneath you… the rhythm of your breathing…

Take a deep, energizing breath in… exhale fully… wiggle your fingers and toes… roll your shoulders… and when you’re ready, open your eyes…

Carrying with you calm, awareness, self-control, and the ability to act responsibly and wisely in your community.”

Tips for Maximum Effectiveness:

  • Pair with journaling: note triggers, successes, and strategies for maintaining calm in challenging situations.

  • Optional: practice short “pre-action” visualizations before entering potentially stressful situations.

  • Encourage community engagement: act as a positive role model to reinforce the script’s lessons.
